Maybe this Daylight Savings thing is a bad idea. I’m sitting in my bed, click-clacking away on my keyboard, instead of sleeping like a sensible soul. Why? Because it’s really only 10:15, instead of 11:15.
I wonder what conception little children have of this election. Today I was trying to explain Duck for President to Esther and I mentioned, “It’s like our country. Except we have two men running for president.” “And a woman!” added Esther. (Did she mean Palin, or Hillary?)
I’ve worked my way up to sole book sorter/pricer/organizer at St. Vincents. I love working with the books; it confirms my belief that I’m cut out to be in the library field. The problem is this–I buy lots of those books. And since I’m a busy grad student, I don’t have time to read said books. So they pile up around the house, waiting for a deliciously long Christmas break, during which I am going to…err..binge…read all of them. I think my total right now is 18. I should be able to polish those off in two or three days, so we’re still in good shape. That figure, of course, only represents the books I’ve actually purchased. I have a small stack waiting at work too. I’ll keep you updated on the book pile as it grows between now and December 16th.
Have I told you how much I like Pandora? I don’t normally listen to the radio, but when I have the opportunity to create a “radio station” which only plays music I like, I’ll jump on it. The nice thing is that unlike my iTunes, I can access it on any computer which connects to the internet. Better still, it’s free, and that ads aren’t too annoying.
My eyelids are drooping. Apparently my body is still on old time. Curious. I suppose that’s it for tonight.
